I am not a big fan of street photography. I learned the business shooting advertising stills and photo illustration. I like shallow depth of field and finding an interesting image in the ordinary.
Nope. I got the shiny surfaces. So, here I am shooting a tabletop still life. At least, that is where I am so far. Have not shot much film in the past 6 years. Digital has improved my images because I can look at what I have shot....it also makes me lazy. It's easier shooting when you can immediately see the image. Great fog this morning. I will be guilty if I do not go out and make use of that.
Sounds like shooting with film will keep you on your toes. I think it is exciting to see what you get when the film is developed. Judging by your past work I have seen, I'm sure the photos will be beautiful. As for the fog, I couldn't help myself either.
I am as fascinated today as I was the day I saw my first roll of slides and my first roll of tri-x. My love of the still image has never faded. I am looking at a book of Margaret Bourke-Whites photographs; another of my influences. Her industrial images are very striking.
obviously, he needs Excedrin!
